Earrings set, get inspired!

Ear piercing is an accessory that adds elegance, sensuality, character and originality. Earlobe piercings win the hearts of many of us regardless of age, style, gender and preferences. Additional holes in the ear or in the ear cartilage are the least painful and heal the fastest, which is why many of us choose them without much fear and thought. Summer is the perfect time to decide on your next piercing. When putting on an airy dress or an oversize shirt, we do not have to worry about a hat that covers the ears, a thick woolen sweater or a hairy scarf that could disturb and hurt the healing piercing.

Standard Lobe - piercing, which is very often performed in small children, standard holes in the earlobe, the least painful and thus the fastest to heal, the piercing is made with a needle or a gun, traditional piercing, which almost every woman and many men have . The healing period lasts from 4 to 6 weeks.

Upper Lobe - piercing the ear lobes on the border with the cartilage, it is a standard lobe piercing, but moving slightly towards the upper part of the ear. The ideal piece of jewelry for the treatment of such piercing is a labret earring, i.e. it ends with a flat, small plate. It may take up to 3 months for the piercing to heal completely.

Conch - we divide it into inner conch and outer conch, the piercing of the middle ear wall, depending on whether the central piercing is closer to the inner or outer wall, is classified as inner conch or outer conch. Complicated piercing and relatively long to heal as it can take up to 12 weeks.

Flat - piercing, as the name says, in the place where the shape of our ear is the most straight, flat, without bends and convoluted forms. It is located at the top of the ear. Due to the simple form and thin layer of the auricle, the piercing is not complicated or very painful and the treatment time ranges from 3 to 6 months.

Helix - pierces the upper part of the cartilage, which in its natural form is wrapped in direction inside the ear. This piercing can be divided into three types. Forward Helix (the earring placed closest to the contact point of the face with the ear) Helix (standard, central one) Anti Helix (continuation of the Helix piercing, this time directed towards the bottom of the ear). This piercing is often chosen for overall aesthetics in view of the ear's natural anatomy.

Tragus - piercing of a characteristic, small, thick, protruding cartilage on the side of the face. The piercing of this section of the ear is not the easiest one due to its thickness, but after the wound has healed, the piercing looks very original. For the treatment of this piercing, we recommend earrings in the form of small circles or labret earrings.

Rook - unusual and original piercing, for which banana-type earrings or traditional rings are used. Full healing may take up to 9 months, it is a piercing of the so-called dome of the ear, i.e. a characteristic bend in the upper part.

Daith - as in the case of Rook piercing, Daith is a piercing of a characteristic form of a crease in the upper part of the ear shell. Aesthetic piercing, although long in treatment, lasts from 9 to 10 months. The earring should be individually adjusted to the anatomical shape of the ear.

Hygiene and treatment of fresh piercings - what to do?

The easy and mostly painless procedure of piercing the ear or cartilage requires special hygiene and treatment time. To be able to enjoy your new idea, make sure that you follow the basic rules that will significantly affect the time and quality of the treatment.

-Avoid a solarium, swimming pool or sauna in the first three weeks after the procedure.

-Rinse the ear and piercing area with saline.

-Always keep your hands clean when you touch your ear or the area around the new piercing.

-After the bath, gently dry the area around the ear with a paper towel.

-Do not tease a fresh wound, try not to touch it, do not sleep on a pierced ear.

-When taking a bath, gently wash your ear with a stream of water, limiting contact with soap or shampoo.

IMPORTANT

The healing time depends on individual factors, such as the general condition of our body, the quality of the piercing service, high personal hygiene, the type and material of the earrings used, and the piercing site. Redness or a sore piercing area in the first two or three weeks is a natural condition, so don't be too concerned. If you are not satisfied with the shape, length or type of earring you wear, contact a specialist to make a replacement.
